My love of stationery began when I was in grade school, oddly enough. My mom, an elementary school teacher who was constantly creating fresh lesson plans for her second-grade students, would always take me with her when she went to our local paper store, McAlister’s Paper in Whittier, CA.

It was the late 1970s, and this paper store was Michael’s, Hobby Lobby, Party City, and JoAnn’s all rolled into one, and long before any of those stores existed. There she would pore over all of the paper, pens, markers, and other art and stationery supplies. (They even had an old-fashioned punch dispenser, and the person at the register would pour you a delicious cup of cold, fruity punch for just 10 cents–needless to say this was my favorite part of the visit.) We were frequent shoppers at McAlister’s. Little did I know then that tailing my mom in this store would create a lifelong stationery addict.

15 years after those childhood stationery store visits, it was my sister’s influence that turned me into a planner addict. She showed me her planner, and took me to a Franklin Covey store for the first time in the 90s. Franklin Covey stores had planners and planner accessories, and at the time not a whole lot of variety, particularly if you were looking for anything even remotely feminine. (Not that that stopped me from frequent shopping visits. I also managed to find a really cute pink planner, too. I still have it. 😉) It was around then I started creating my own planner templates, and I even had an Etsy shop selling planner templates around 2008 or so.

I stopped using planners for a while but came back to it several years ago. I started selling planner stickers because I was making them for myself anyway, and decided to share some of what I was making. Sharing just makes sense! 😊

Besides planners, art and design, I also love writing, reading, gaming and baking. I love coffee and tea, and enjoy spending time with my friends, family, and kitties.
